Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977), also known simply as Elvis, was an American singer, musician and actor. He is regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century and is often referred to as the "King of Rock and Roll". His energized interpretations of songs and sexually provocative performance style, combined with a singularly potent mix of influences across color lines during a transformative era in race relations, led him to both great success and initial controversy.
Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, and relocated to Memphis, Tennessee with his family when he was 13 years old. His music career began there in 1954, recording at Sun Records with producer Sam Phillips, who wanted to bring the sound of African-American music to a wider audience. Pres...

Born May 22nd in Jacksonville, FL...I spent many years living in the beaches area of Jacksonville. I also lived in other other parts of the state of Florida, Virginia, Oklahoma, and Texas. I traveled many states (too many to mention)... I was the oldest of 6 kids. I have been an self taught artist and writer most of my life. Even as a child I showed artistic ability, winning awards as early as the 1st grade. Though artistic talent runs in the family...as my dad is a painter of oils...my favorite way is to create and produce is digitally.
