Description
My dad is a prolific self-promoted artist who specializes in oil paintings. He has painted hundreds of paintings (portraits, landscapes, seascapes, lighthouses, pirates, ships, aviation...etc. just to name a few) in his life time, and has been an illustrator on several books.
He once lived in the town of Apalachicola, Florida where he did a series of paintings of various historical buildings, and homes in the area.
One of my dad's favorite places that he liked to go for a bite to eat with my stepmom Frieda, was a place called Sharons. It was located right on the bay (as you can see in the picture window).
One day he got the idea to immortalize himself by doing a self portrait, while he was drinking a cup of coffee at Sharons. LOL
He is now 88 years old, and spends most of his time doing paintings that are related to the Catholic faith.
Artwork created by William Trotter.
